New Youtube Channel Gives Back
A new Youtube Channel called Give Back Films has been an instant hit. Kyle Orrefice and Josh Gibson posted their first video in October, and they have gone viral. The friends who live in Utah and Georgia have both enjoyed watching the videos of other Youtube personalities giving money and services to people in need, and they decided to create a channel dedicated to various acts of kindness. Their first video Giving $100 to Homeless People has received nearly two million visits in the three weeks since it was posted.
The duo has made such a splash in the few weeks they have been online. Articles about their kind acts have been written for the Deseret News, The Huffington Post, and MSN. They promise to post a new video each Monday, and so far they haven't disappointed. Their Facebook page, which contains links to articles about other acts of kindness is also growing in popularity. I look forward to seeing what they do next--especially during the colder winter months.
I hope for the best for these two young men. In order for this to be successful, they need to keep a regular stream of visitors to their website. Although this is just an assumption on my part, I am sure they are using any of the money they earn on their Youtube channel to pay for their projects. Wouldn't it be wonderful if Kyle's and Josh's fans came together to provide support to keep this going weekly for many years to come?
